Business Casual Accessories

1Fashion is everywhere we look. We have to think about it every day and it comes in many forms. We spend a lot of our lives at work so it makes sense that we would need to have a professional wardrobe. What you may not know is that you can take a few simple pieces of clothing and give them a completely different use with the right accessories. Today we are talking about accessorizing your business casual look. The specific outfit I’ll be talking about can be worn for different occasions and I’ll be accessorizing it to look great for a day at the office.

2First we have a great, navy, pencil skirt that’s high-waisted and goes beautifully with a crisp white blouse. This can be spruced up easily in various ways. One of the ways is to break out those dark peek-a-boo, open toed, stiletto heels. It’s still a business look but with these on you have already converted it to a quality business casual look. Open toed shoes are great for a casual work day and they could even be used in an evening look with the right accessories. Stay away from the prints when you’re on the job. Nothing too flashy will be your best thing to remember. You don’t need to be flashy to look great. Shoes can have such an effect on an outfit, and with minimal effort. Now the pencil skirt I’ve chosen has faint vertical pin stripes which are great for creating that thinning effect and really making you look lean. The white blouse has the same effect with a vertical stripe and brings the clothing together well. This outfit is fabulous so it makes picking the accessories and looking good easy.

3Although our heels could be used in an evening look we want to keep it business here so I’ll give you an example of what can be used as accessories with this number and still have you looking polished and professional. I’ve picked out a simple necklace. Nothing oversized but this one is long so it’s meant to be wrapped around twice for best results. It isn’t full of detail with just a simple pattern of beads and then you can add one or two bangles. Keep these 4solid and simple as well. So when you want to look professional its best not to wear an oversized clutch bag but this is business casual so if you want that oversized clutch then go for it girl. Grab this nice black leather clutch and add that to your look. When you are wearing a high-waisted pencil skirt you don’t want to wear a small belt. A larger waist belt will look great with this though. A black, braided- leather, wide belt is really going to pop with your shoes and clutch and have you looking like you’re ready for a casual business day or even a few drinks after work. This look is great to wear your hair down with just remember to keep it in order so it doesn’t get in the way and you’ll be looking fabulous in no time.
